- The commute. Mining and airport workers like being close to work, and New Sudbury Centre is about 12 minutes from Garson.
- Small-town amenities. Full municipal services and high-speed internet in Garson, the George Armstrong Community Centre and Arena, Cedar Green Golf Club and the Junction Creek trail.
- Schools. Northeastern Elementary, St. John Catholic and École St-Augustin in Garson, with Confederation Secondary serving the area for high school.
