Espanola is a real town with a real community. Hockey and ringette rinks, local schools, the Spanish River running through it, and Manitoulin Island just down the highway. When you’re ready to sell, you want a team that will show buyers all of that.
Team KING covers the entire Sudbury Real Estate Board area, and the Board itself says it represents REALTORS® in Greater Sudbury, Manitoulin, Espanola and the surrounding areas. We sell family homes in town, rural properties, camps and lake cottages from Espanola to Nairn Centre, Massey and Whitefish Falls.

About Espanola
The Town of Espanola sits on the Spanish River, about 70 km west of downtown Sudbury and just south of where Highway 6 meets Highway 17. The 2021 census counted 5,185 residents. Espanola calls itself the Home of Ringette, because the first experimental rules for the sport were written here in 1963.
Highway 6 runs south from Espanola to Whitefish Falls and on to the Little Current swing bridge, so Espanola is also the gateway to Manitoulin Island. A lot of buyers like being able to live in town and still be close to the island, the North Channel and the lakes.
Schools and Services
Espanola has English, Catholic and French schools, including A.B. Ellis Public School, Sacred Heart School and École St. Joseph at the elementary level, plus Espanola High School and École secondaire catholique Franco-Ouest. School boundaries can change, so buyers should confirm with the board for a specific address.
Close to the Water
Penage Lake Road runs from the Espanola side to Lake Panache, one of the biggest cottage lakes in the region, and there are plenty of smaller lakes and river properties around town. Selling a cottage out here? Read our Lake Panache selling page and our waterfront and recreational selling guide.
