Team KING Takes the Sudbury Polar Plunge to Support Special Olympics

At Team KING, supporting our community is something we take seriously… even when it involves jumping into freezing cold water.

This year, members of our team proudly participated in the annual Sudbury Polar Plunge, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics. The event brings together community members, local businesses, and brave volunteers who are willing to take a literal plunge into icy waters for a great cause.

And yes, it was exactly as cold as you’re imagining.

Why the Polar Plunge Matters

The Polar Plunge is more than just a chilly challenge. Events like this help support the programs and athletes of Special Olympics, giving individuals with disabilities opportunities to participate in sports, build confidence, and connect with their communities.

For us at Team KING, participating was an easy decision. Real estate may be what we do professionally, but being involved in the community is at the heart of who we are.

Sudbury is more than a market to us, it’s HOME.

A Little Cold Water for a Big Cause

When the countdown began, Team KING didn’t hesitate (okay… maybe just a little hesitation). But once the moment arrived, we jumped in together.

Between the laughs, the shock of the icy water, and the cheers from the crowd, the experience was unforgettable.

And while our dignity may have briefly disappeared into the freezing water, it was absolutely worth it knowing we were helping support an incredible organization.

Community Is Everything

One of the things we love most about living and working in Sudbury is the way the community shows up for each other. Events like the Polar Plunge are a perfect example of that spirit.

From local businesses and volunteers to supporters cheering from the sidelines, it’s inspiring to see everyone come together for something bigger than themselves.
